Mother's day is one of the many international events which is now widely celebrated in India. It is a relatively new event here but the world has been celebrating this occasion since centuries. In fact there are stories that in ancient times there used to be festivals to honor Rhea, the mother of Gods. Following the tradition we celebrate this day to honor mothers and motherhood. We don't need any special day to show mothers that we love and care for them, but actually what happens is that we take her for granted.
